LeGrand Coffee House in Colonia is where you want to be for a sip of local Joe or the casual break in your day, all set in a friendly, cozy, coffee shop atmosphere.
For hometown hero and former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand, launching his own business in May 2022 opened the door for new ways to connect with the local community.
“I wanted to find a way to bring people together during a tough time in the pandemic,” LeGrand said. “Once I knew we would be able to be around each other again, I wanted to bring people happiness over a cup of coffee.”
While the vibes of a smalltown coffee shop are evident when you visit the storefront at 10 Green St. in Colonia, the shop isn’t the only place where you can sip some java and munch on a snack or two.
Thanks to partnerships with LeGrand’s alum, you can grab a cup of LeGrand Coffee at SHI Stadium during Rutgers University home games, and purchase whole beans or ground coffee 24/7 at LegrandCoffeeHouse.com.
If the local scene weren’t enough to garner attention for LeGrand Coffee, then keep your eyes peeled during New Jersey Devils away games starting in fall 2022. LeGrand coffee was named the official helmet sponsor of the New Jersey Devils for all away games.
What’s more, the entrepreneurial ambitions don’t end here. LeGrand also owns his own apparel store, Shop Fifty Two, and is the co-owner of LeGrand Whiskey. Suffice is to say, LeGrand knows how to stay busy.
“My focus is definitely on the Coffee House and my whiskey company,” LeGrand said. “I also have my Foundation Team LeGrand of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which I will always continue to raise funds and awareness for spinal cord injury research.”
You can visit LeGrand Coffee House seven days a week, from 7am – 4pm, at 10 Green St. in Colonia. Depending on when you swing by, you might just bump into LeGrand himself, or perhaps stumble upon a parking lot full of exotic cars.
“The Ferrari event was amazing,” LeGrand said, speaking on his late August event at the coffee house. “I will continue to host events throughout the community. I really enjoy doing that.”
