If you’re anything like me then you’ve probably asked your dentist if you can extract your sweet tooth. And after they side-eye you and ask what you’re talking about, you quickly realize it’s much easier to give in than to resist the urge for sugar.
With that said, I’m sorry in advance for presenting Pinho’s Bakery in Roselle, because if you’re trying to follow a diet, you’re out of luck. If you want to feed that sweet tooth, heck, feed all the sweet teeth.
Cakes and cookies make up only a part of what Pinho’s Bakery has to offer, while coconut bread, cheese Danish, and cinnamon buns are the real standout items as far as my waistline is concerned. And while I’m sure it’s available somewhere, Pinho’s Bakery is the first bakery to introduce me to a walnut doughnut. Give it a try.
So by all means, browse around and get some old classics like red velvet cake, chocolate chip cookies, or carrot cake, but if you’re feeling adventurous, check out some of the deeper cuts that Pinho’s Bakery has to offer.
If breakfast is part of your morning routine, then consider the sausage, egg, and cheese on a Portugese roll. Toss in a little ketchup, salt, and pepper for the added touch. You can even call ahead and place your order for an easy morning pick up.
Pinho’s Bakery is a must-stop for every family party and get together. A dozen doughnuts and/or buns is mind-blowingly affordable, to the point where you feel they’re practically giving them away, and the cake selection makes it hard to walk away with just one.
With so many options, it’s hard to decide where to start. Thankfully, you can swing into Pinho’s Bakery six days a week (don’t be like me and bang on a locked door on Mondays). Maybe I’ll even see you there.
